daughter's college path, I remember that August evening in 2005 when you
stopped by and sat and talked with my daughter for two to three hours.
You got to know her and understand her goals and desires. At 16 she did
not have a clear understanding of what type of school she wanted to
attend, nor did she have a decided major. You were able to read into her
comments and advise her on the appropriate types of schools that she
should be looking at.
At that point we embarked on an interesting and very complex journey
through the softball recruiting process. And you were there every step
of the way, opening doors and providing insight, keeping us from making
mistakes and making that very important phone call to a coach at just
the right time.
Although you represent many student athletes, I always felt that my
